1) What should be sent to Promidental to order a Computer Guided Surgical Template?
In order to receive a surgical template from promidental you must make sure to send us the following three items.
- A completed BSP compatible treatment plan.
- A completed RX form.
- A CT Scan of the scan appliance, according to the BSP scanning protocol.
2) How should the treatment plan and the CT appliance scan be sent to Promidental.com?
The treatment plan should be emailed to Promidental via a free service at www.YouSendIt.com. This service allows you to email large files, and can be used to send the treatment plan and/or DICOM images3).
Once your order is received, Promidental will send you an invoice. The invoice will contain a link for payment. Payment can be made using all major credit cards. Payment is required for the order to be processed.
4) Where can I get an RX form?
You can download an RX form by clicking here.
5) When will I receive the Computer Guided Surgical Template?
The Surgical template will be completed within 7 business days; from the time that promidental receives the components to process the order. The Surgical Template will then be shipped according to your request and will arrive at your clinic.
6) Which drill kits can be used?
All drill systems can be used as long as metal tubes of the appropriate width are inserted into the Surgical Template. If the Surgical Template will be used only with a starter drill for the initial osteotomy, then a metal sleeve with a hole the width of the drill can be fastened into the template. If a Computer Guided Surgical Drill Kit is being used, then the appropriate master cylinders should be fastened into the Surgical Template. For optimal depth placement a drill equal to the height of the implant, plus an additional nine millemeters, should be used. The placement of the metal tube can be raised or lowered slightly to compensate for a longer or shorter drill.
Alternatively, depth limiting Drill Stops, which fasten onto the shaft of the drill itself, can be purchased from DrillStops.com. If Drill Stops are being used then no metal sleeve would need to fastened into the Surgical Template.
7) How can I be sure that promidental has received my order and that it is being processed?
Promidental will process your order and will send you an email confirming that the order has been received and processed. If you do not receive such an email within 24 hours of submitting the order, please contact Promidental.
8) Does the Surgical Template arrrive with metal tubes or sleeves inserted in the holes?
No. The Surgical Template does not arrive with any metal tubes / sleeves inserted. The practitioner or lab can insert the appropriate sleeves for the drills being used for the surgery, or use a drillstop system that attaches the tube directly onto the drill shaft.
9) Where can I purchase metal tubing to insert into the Surgical Template?
Promidental.com stocks metal tubing to be used for creating Starter Templates. Ask us about prices and delivery time.
